Editorial standards

These are the rules everything on Leonida Daily is held to. If we ever fall short of them, tell us.

Sourcing

Every claim traces to a source: a first-party Rockstar or Take-Two statement, official trailer or screenshot, or a clearly-identified community source. We distinguish "confirmed to exist" (shown in official footage) from "confirmed to be located here" (our reconstruction) — they are not the same, and we label them differently.

The verification gate

New information does not publish as fact by default. It enters at low confidence, is deduplicated against what we already track, checked for a genuine source, verified where possible, labelled, and only then published. No item auto-promotes to "Confirmed" — a human review stands between a rumour and that label.

Confidence labels

We label locations and claims: Confirmed (first-party), Likely (strong evidence, not confirmed), Rumoured (circulating, unverified), and Debunked/Removed (contradicted or retracted). The methodology guide defines each in detail.

Corrections

When evidence changes, the label changes — up toward Confirmed or down to Debunked — and the change is logged with a date. We keep debunked items visible rather than quietly deleting them. Being correctable in public is a feature, not a failure. To report an error, use our contact page.

Independence and disclosure

Leonida Daily is independent and not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. We use no inside information. Where we credit community contributors, we do so by name or handle. This is a fan project; all trademarks belong to their respective owners.

AI and authorship

Our tooling assists with data handling and drafting, but editorial judgement — what to publish, how to label it, when to correct it — rests with our editor. Bylines on this site may be published under a professional pseudonym; accountability is unchanged — every piece is answerable through our contact page and corrected under the policy above. We do not publish unreviewed machine output as fact.
